Haleon invests $30 million to expand Panama plant, adding 100+ jobs

British pharmaceutical company Haleon announced an investment of more than $30 million to expand its manufacturing facility in the Juan Díaz Industrial Park, Panama. The upgrade will double production capacity to about 900 million paracetamol tablets per year, allowing the plant to supply markets across Central America, the Caribbean and the rest of Latin America.

The existing plant employs 220 workers. Haleon expects the expansion to create over 100 additional direct and indirect jobs. The announcement was made during a visit by Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino, who was accompanied by Minister of Commerce and Industries Julio Moltó and Haleon’s regional leaders, including Latin America President Andrés González, plant manager Demian Omar, Director of Corporate Affairs Mariana Lucema and Director of Government Affairs Santiago Baptiste. The project includes a new state‑of‑the‑art automated packaging line, infrastructure upgrades and improvements to employee well‑being.
