halfit Lions: Halle women's basketball team announces rebranding

The women's basketball team in Halle has rebranded as the halfit Lions following a new sponsorship agreement. The fitness studio halfit has transitioned from a top sponsor to the team's official naming partner for the Toyota DBBL and the DBBL Cup.

The partnership is set to run through the end of the 2028/29 season. Along with the name change, the team will adopt a new visual identity, featuring a logo in green and blue to match the sponsor's colors while maintaining the traditional crest shape used by the MBC family of teams.

Following recent third-place finishes in the league, the club aims to challenge for the championship. The increased budget provided by the new partnership is expected to place the team among the top four in the league, targeting competitors such as Rutronik Stars Keltern and Alba Berlin.
