Halina Reijn receives honorary Golden Calf for Dutch film culture
Actress and director Halina Reijn, 50, was honoured with the Gouden Kalf for Film Culture by the Nederlands Film Festival. The award recognises people who have made exceptional contributions to Dutch film culture.
The prize will be presented at the Gouden Kalveren Gala on 2 October in Utrecht. Reijn, who built a successful career in the United States, previously won acting Golden Calf awards in 2007 for the series De Prins en het Meisje and in 2020 for the TV thriller Red Light. She made her directing debut in 2019 with Instinct and has since directed the international films Bodies Bodies Bodies and Babygirl.
