Halit Ergenç reveals 15-year career in premium audio design

Actor Halit Ergenç has revealed his long-standing involvement in the high-end audio industry. For approximately 15 years, Ergenç has been designing and producing premium sound systems through his brand, Once Custom Sound, which he co-founded with Said Şahin.

The company, which maintains a connection to Bursa, Turkey, focuses on handcrafted, high-fidelity speakers. Ergenç has played an active role in the development and acoustic design of the products, which utilize high-quality materials and artisanal craftsmanship. The brand's product lineup has included models such as Nar, Su, Almula, Ali, and Larag.

Ergenç shared details about his professional experiences in this field, including a trip to a Warner Bros film set in London for the movie ‘Tom and Jerry’. He attended the set not as an actor, but as a product representative to oversee the delivery and installation of his audio equipment, notably keeping his acting profession a secret from the crew at the time.

The custom-made speakers target the luxury hi-fi market, with prices reportedly ranging from 1,500 euros to as much as 45,000 euros depending on the specific model and technical specifications.
