Halkbank donates 30,000 euros to renovate Skopje faculty reading room

Halkbank has donated approximately 30,000 euros to renovate and modernize the reading room at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje. The newly inaugurated ‘Halk Reading Room’ aims to provide improved conditions for student learning, research, and knowledge acquisition.

The donation funded significant infrastructure improvements, including the installation of new energy-efficient windows and new carpeting to create a more functional academic environment. The renovation ceremony was attended by Biljana Angelova, Rector of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, and Mijalče Santa, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, along with faculty members and students.

Dean Santa emphasized that the reading room is a vital space for students to prepare for exams and write academic papers. He noted that the bank’s ‘Important for the Young’ campaign has taken a concrete form through this investment in the academic environment.
