Halkbank launches Marifet program to support Ebru art

Halkbank has launched a new culture and arts program titled ‘Marifet’ to support and preserve the traditional Turkish art of Ebru. The initiative aims to encourage new productions, make craftsmanship visible, and pass cultural heritage to future generations.

The program will feature a different theme each year. For the inaugural year, the theme is ‘Family,’ inspired by the ‘Year of the Family and Population.’ As part of this theme, an Ebru art competition has been organized, with the application deadline set for December 1, 2026.

Halkbank General Manager Recep Süleyman Özdil stated that the program is built on the principle that ‘skill deserves appreciation,’ aiming to recognize the labor of artists and promote cultural memory. Winners of the competition will receive awards, and a special exhibition will be held to showcase the winning works.
