Halkbank launches new housing loan campaign in Turkey

Halkbank has launched a new housing loan campaign specifically targeting newly married couples. The campaign offers flexible repayment options, including monthly equal installments, free payment periods of up to three months, and free payment options. The monthly interest rate is set at 2.60 percent. For a 120-month term, a 1 million lira loan carries an annual cost rate of 38 percent.

To qualify for the campaign, customers must meet several requirements, such as maintaining an account with the bank, providing at least three automatic payment instructions, and holding a Halkbank credit card. Additionally, customers must subscribe to various insurance products, including life, DASK (natural disaster), and housing insurance, and belong to a specific banking expense package.

Separately, public interest remains high regarding a rumored ‘First Home Housing Loan’ featuring a 1.20 percent interest rate and terms up to 180 months. However, official application processes, definitive interest rates, and specific credit limits for this particular model have not yet been formally announced by official sources.
