Halkidiki vacationer stays in room after car crashes into wall

A Romanian family vacationing on the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki, Greece, experienced a bizarre incident when an elderly Bulgarian driver accidentally drove a vehicle into their accommodation. The driver reportedly confused the pedals, causing the car to crash through a bedroom wall and scatter debris over the family's belongings.

Despite the significant damage to the structure and the presence of the vehicle inside the room, the family declined an offer to relocate to alternative accommodation located nine kilometers away, citing a desire to maintain their original vacation plans. Local authorities were unable to immediately remove the vehicle due to ongoing efforts to manage regional vegetation fires.
