Halle Berry says she won’t retire as she ages

Oscar‑winning actress Halle Berry, 59, told the podcast “Making Space” with Hoda Kotb that she has no intention of stopping her film work. She pushed back against the common expectation that older actors should “settle down” and stop working, saying, “Why should I not keep working?”

Berry explained that work has given her life meaning and she does not want to give it up. She referenced her recent role as an insurance broker in the thriller “Crime 101” and noted she will turn 60 in August.
