Halle Berry supports Maya Boyd as new Storm in X-Men reboot

Halle Berry has expressed her support for Maya Boyd, who has been cast as Storm in the upcoming X-Men reboot within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with People magazine, Berry, who portrayed Ororo Munroe from 2000 to 2014, stated, “I believe she’s going to kill it,” and added that she looks forward to seeing Boyd's unique version of the character.

Boyd will be the third actress to play the role in live-action films, following Berry and Alexandra Shipp. The new ensemble cast for the franchise includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier, and Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister.
