Halle (Saale) to host community dialogue on the social role of swimming pools

A community discussion titled ‘Unsere Schwimmbäder’ (Our Swimming Pools) is scheduled for August 31, 2026, at the STATTBAD in Halle (Saale). Part of the ‘Dazusetzen & Mitreden’ dialogue series, the event aims to explore the social significance of swimming pools beyond sports, focusing on their role as meeting points and spaces for intergenerational connection.

The discussion comes at a time when the traditional Stadtbad building has been closed since June 2025 for extensive renovations. The event, moderated by André Gödecke and organized in collaboration with the HALLIANZ for Diversity and the City of Halle, invites residents to share personal memories and discuss the future role of these facilities in the city's social fabric.
