Hallmark Channel celebrates 25th anniversary with new Halloween and Christmas movies

The Hallmark Channel marked its 25th anniversary, a milestone that began when the Odyssey Network rebranded as Hallmark Channel on August 5, 2001. The network, now part of Crown Media Holdings, highlighted its longevity at a Television Critics Association press event.

President Darren Abbott and Head of Programming Michelle Vicary announced a slate that includes two new Halloween movies for the Fall into Love lineup – "A Knight to Remember" starring Julie Gonzalo and "The Spirit of Halloween" starring Meghan Ory – as well as three fresh titles for the 17th annual Countdown to Christmas. They also revealed an original scripted series, "Change of Heart," set to debut on Hallmark+ in 2027.

The announcements underscore Hallmark’s continued focus on family‑friendly, seasonal programming that has defined the channel since its 2001 launch.
