Halloween celebrations and safety tips highlighted in Australia and Oregon

Halloween celebrations and safety preparations are highlighted across different regions. In Australia, parents are advised to manage the holiday during the spring season, noting that daylight saving changes affect when it gets dark. Safety recommendations include constant adult supervision near roads and driveways, and immediate medical attention if a child swallows a button battery.

In the United States, the town of St. Helens, Oregon, hosts the ‘Spirit of Halloweentown’ festival. The event, which draws on the town's history as a filming location for the 1998 Disney Channel movie, features performers, food vendors, and themed activities. The festival runs on select weekends from late September through November.
