Mexico and Ecuador host various Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrations

Various communities across Mexico and Ecuador held festivities to celebrate Halloween and the Day of the Dead. In Mexico City, the Mega Procession of Catrinas saw approximately 20,000 participants parade from the Angel of Independence toward the Zócalo, featuring 36 thematic blocks and 102 allegorical vehicles to preserve traditional customs.

Other regional celebrations included a Halloween bazaar in Nuevo Laredo, a Day of the Dead parade in Delicias that was partially suspended due to heavy rain, and a costume-themed cycling event in Ciudad Obregón. In Hermosillo, the municipal government organized a March of the Catrinas as part of a larger festival.

In Ecuador, approximately 800 participants joined a 5K recreational race in Guayaquil organized by the Sopla Running Club, where runners wore various costumes to celebrate Halloween.
