Halloween festivals and seasonal events scheduled for October

Various Halloween-themed events and festivals are scheduled across different regions this October.

In Murfreesboro, the parks department has organized seven events between October 11 and October 24. The lineup includes the Pumpkin Fun Run at Gateway Island, the McFadden Fall Festival and Haunted Hallways, and the Wild Rumpus at Wilderness Station. Other activities include a walk through the Cannonsburgh Village pioneer reconstruction after sunset and various events at Barfield Crescent Park.

In Edmonton, Fort Edmonton Park will host its DARK festival from October 2 through October 31. The event features four different haunt experiences, including one new attraction, alongside scare zones, roving entertainment, and a live DJ. Visitors are advised to use public transportation due to limited parking, and the venue maintains a policy prohibiting costumes, masks, and face paint for safety reasons.
