Halloween: The Game receives combat rebalance in patch 1.0.3

Illfonic has released patch 1.0.3 for Halloween: The Game across all platforms, including Steam. The update focuses on combat rebalancing to improve the gameplay experience for both Civilians and the character Michael.

Key changes include a melee rebalance for Civilians designed to prevent instant downs of Michael, particularly when playing as Bob or Laurie. This was achieved by adjusting how the Capability stat scales for melee damage and reducing the effectiveness of the Heavyweight trait. Additionally, the damage boost Civilians receive while in a 'Drunk' state has been reduced.

To counter squad harassment, Michael now receives a temporary buff after recovering from a downed state. This buff provides stagger immunity, increased damage resistance, higher melee damage, and increased melee attack speed. The update also includes adjustments to weapon spawns, with a reduction in the availability of heavy weapons, rifles, and shotguns to increase their rarity.
