Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital appoints cardiology expert Song Jae-kwan

Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital has appointed Professor Song Jae-kwan, a leading expert in echocardiography and valvular heart disease, to strengthen its cardiovascular care capabilities. Professor Song, a first-generation researcher in cardiac imaging, previously served as the director of the Valvular Heart Disease Center and the Cardiac Imaging Center at Asan Medical Center.

Professor Song’s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of valvular diseases, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure. His research has contributed to the development of non-invasive diagnostic methods for variant angina and the understanding of aortic wall hematomas. He has also been recognized internationally, including being listed in the ‘Marquis Who’s Who’ directory.

With Professor Song joining the faculty, the hospital plans to enhance its precision diagnostic capabilities using echocardiography and expand specialized treatment for severe cardiovascular conditions. This move coincides with the hospital's efforts to advance its cardiovascular care system, including the opening of a cardiac rehabilitation center.
