Halo: Campaign Evolved remake set for July 28 2026 launch
A new gameplay video unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 confirmed that Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, will be released on July 28, 2026. The title will launch on Xbox Series X|S, PC and, for the first time, PlayStation 5.
The demo highlighted the use of Unreal Engine 5 for dramatically upgraded graphics, smoother animations and more dynamic enemy AI. Players will experience 13 missions, including three exclusive to this version, with local and online co‑op support, new weapons and variants, and a rebuilt level‑design.
A notable addition is the pre‑quel storyline “Operation: Meteorite,” featuring three new missions set before the original events and starring Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson. Premium editions will grant early access on July 23, 2026.
