Halo: Campaign Evolved remake slated for July 28, 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Game Pass

Halo: Campaign Evolved is a full remake of the 2001 title Halo: Combat Evolved, rebuilt from the ground up by Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries). The game focuses exclusively on the campaign, adding new missions such as the pre‑story "Operation: Meteorite", nine additional weapons, a third‑person perspective option, and cooperative play for up to four players online or two on split‑screen. It supports cross‑play and shared progression across platforms.

The remake launches on July 28, 2026, with a Premium Edition offering early access on July 23. It marks the first main‑line Halo title released for PlayStation 5, breaking a 25‑year exclusivity stretch, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
