Halo: Campaign Evolved set for July 28 launch, unveils new missions and PC system requirements

Xbox announced Halo: Campaign Evolved, a full remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign built on Unreal Engine 5. The game adds three new pre‑quel missions titled “Operation Meteorite,” featuring space‑combat sequences, new weapons such as the Plasma Rifle, Battle Rifle, Energy Sword, Fuel Rod Cannon, Needle Rifle and Brute Spiker, and returning enemies like Brutes, Jackals and a gold‑white Hunter variant. The title will launch globally on July 28 (July 29 in some Asia‑Pacific regions) with cross‑play between Xbox Series X/S, PC and PlayStation 5. Three editions are offered: a standard version at $49.99, a premium edition at $69.99 with early access and extra cosmetic packs, and a collector’s edition at $199.99 with physical memorabilia.

The PC version’s minimum specifications call for an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7‑10700K CPU, 16 GB RAM and an RTX 2060 / RX 6600 GPU for 1080p/60 FPS. Medium settings require a Ryzen 7 5700X or Core i5‑12600K and an RTX 3070 / RX 7600 for 1440p/60 FPS. High and Ultra tiers target 4K/60 FPS, recommending a Ryzen 7 7700 or Core i7‑12700K with an RTX 3080 Ti, and a Ryzen 9 7900X or Core i9‑13900K with an RTX 4080 respectively.
