Halo: Campaign Evolved trailer unveils third‑person view and July 2026 launch
Halo Studios released a new trailer and two gameplay videos for Halo: Campaign Evolved, the remake of the original Halo campaign. The footage highlights a third‑person perspective unlocked through a new "Perspective" skull, offering a fresh way to experience classic missions such as Assault on the Control Room and The Silent Cartographer.
The videos also showcase the Campaign Remix mode, where modifiers, enemy behavior, weapon placement and visual effects are randomized, and the expanded roster of more than 40 skulls that alter difficulty, aesthetics and AI. A four‑player co‑op experience with full cross‑play across Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC is confirmed, along with shared‑screen support on consoles.
Halo: Campaign Evolved will launch worldwide on 28 July 2026 for PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with early access from 23 July for buyers of the Premium or Collector’s Edition. The title will be available through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass at launch.
