Halstenbek firefighters prevent house fire after carport blaze

On Tuesday morning, August 18, emergency services responded to a significant carport fire in Halstenbek, specifically in the Bickbargen area. The blaze spread rapidly to a double garage and surrounding vegetation, producing heavy smoke visible from nearby highways and parts of Hamburg.

Approximately 60 firefighters from Halstenbek and Rellingen were deployed to manage the incident. Authorities successfully prevented the fire from spreading to an adjacent single-family home. No injuries were reported.
