In the Westruper Heide nature reserve, the iconic dwarf‑shrub heather has begun blooming again, attracting thousands of visitors. Rules prohibit leaving the paths, leashing dogs, and using bicycles, riding horses, or drones, with violations punishable by fines. Guided tours are scheduled throughout August.
