Haltern hosts Ecumenical Faith Week in September

The Ecumenical Faith Week, themed ‘Gegen den Strom’ (Against the Stream), will take place in Haltern from September 12 to 20. The event is organized by the Catholic and Protestant churches, the New Apostolic Church, the city sports association, and the ‘Respekt tut gut’ initiative.

The program includes a variety of activities designed for all generations, such as an intercultural festival with interreligious prayer, workshops, and various church services. Notable events include an ecumenical family service at St. Sixtus Parish Church and an interview scheduled for September 14, where ZDF ‘heute journal’ presenter Stefan Leifert will interview politician Wolfgang Bosbach.

Other scheduled activities include an exhibition titled ‘Kleine Künstler – große Ideen’, a youth service, and the ‘Longest Table in Haltern’ on Rekumer Straße.
