Hama introduces new smartwatch for children at IFA

At IFA, accessory specialist Hama has expanded its wearables lineup with a new smartwatch designed for children aged five to twelve. The device aims to provide parents with a way to stay in contact with their children without the need for a full smartphone.

Key features include video and voice calls, live location tracking, and a ‘Safe Zones’ feature that sends automatic notifications if a child leaves a defined area. For emergencies, the watch includes a dedicated SOS button. The device is IP67 waterproof and includes a school mode to disable distracting functions during class.

Data security is a central focus, with all information stored on servers located in Germany. The accompanying ‘Hama Protect’ app operates without subscription fees or additional costs. The smartwatch is priced at 129 EUR.
