Hamacho Veggie Fest 2026 to promote healthy eating in Tokyo

The Nihonbashi Hamacho Area Management Association, in collaboration with Kagome Co., Ltd., has announced the Hamacho Veggie Fest 2026. The event is scheduled for August 29, 2026, at Hama House in Nihonbashi Hamacho, Tokyo.

Aligned with ‘Vegetable Day’ on August 31, the festival aims to promote health and encourage residents and visitors to incorporate more vegetables into their daily diets. The fifth annual event follows the theme of ‘Eat! Learn! Play!’ and features various activities for all ages.

Programming includes food and drink offerings such as specialty items made from high-lycopene tomatoes grown on the Hama House rooftop, as well as vegetable smoothies. Educational and interactive activities include vegetable-themed riddles, weight-guessing challenges, science experiments involving floating vegetables, and mini-farming experiences where participants can simulate harvesting crops.
