HAMAG-BICRO launches competition for innovative Croatian startups

HAMAG-BICRO, the Croatian agency for micro, small, medium enterprises, innovation, and investment, has launched a public call to select the country’s most innovative startups. Part of the Horizontal Transformation Project (HIT), the competition aims to strengthen the regional industrial transition ecosystem.

The prize fund exceeds 30,000 euros. Eligible participants include crafts and limited liability companies (d.o.o. and j.d.o.o.) classified as micro, small, or medium enterprises that were established after January 1, 2020. To compete for regional awards, applicants must align their innovations with Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) priorities and regional value chains.

There are four award categories: three regional awards for the most innovative startups in Adriatic, Pannonian, and Northern Croatia, and one national Grand Prix for the most innovative startup in the Republic of Croatia. The application deadline is September 1.
