Hamas and Palestinian factions agree on Gaza ceasefire roadmap

Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip on July 30 killed four Palestinians, including two children, and wounded dozens more, according to Gaza's Health Ministry and Al Jazeera. The attacks also hit a refugee camp in southern Gaza, displacing many residents.

Separately, Hamas and several Palestinian factions reached a new cease‑fire agreement that sets out a phased roadmap for the second stage of the truce. The plan calls for the National Committee and an International Stabilisation Force to enter Gaza and oversee the inventory and storage of weapons, with verification by an international committee. Implementation is conditioned on Israel withdrawing its forces from Gaza; Hamas officials warned they would not comply if Israel fails to meet its obligations. The United States, represented by former President Donald Trump, praised the deal as a step toward a Gaza governed by a new Palestinian authority in cooperation with the Board of Peace, while Israel has not yet responded.
