Hamas military wing advises donors to avoid Binance

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has instructed its donors to avoid using the Binance cryptocurrency exchange for donations. Instead, the group has directed supporters toward alternative platforms, including Bybit, OKX, Trust Wallet, RedotPay, and Kast.

The shift follows increased scrutiny from U.S. authorities. The FBI recently seized approximately $560,000 in cryptocurrency linked to the group’s fundraising operations, noting that funds primarily moved through the Tron blockchain using USDT. Investigators identified a pattern of rotating wallet addresses and a shared “gas” wallet used to pay transaction fees, which allowed them to link various donation-related wallets.

While the Al-Qassam Brigades still permit the use of Binance for purchasing crypto assets, the exchange is now viewed as too risky for transferring funds to the organization. This development revives previous concerns regarding terror financing, including prior Department of Justice allegations involving the movement of funds through Binance to Iran.
