Hamburg court begins trial of suspected cocaine courier

A trial has commenced at the Hamburg District Court against a 44-year-old man accused of acting as a major drug courier for a cocaine gang. The prosecution alleges the defendant worked for suspected drug boss Mansour Ismail between May and July 2025.

The charges include six counts of aiding and abetting gang-related narcotics trafficking. According to the indictment, the man was involved in multiple large-scale shipments. In one instance, he allegedly traveled to the Netherlands to collect approximately 120 kilograms of cocaine, transporting it via a ‘stash car’ through Lower Saxony to Hamburg. In another incident, he is accused of unloading 88 kilograms of cocaine in Hamburg that had been transported from Spain.

The defendant allegedly distributed the drugs to various buyers within Hamburg as part of the organized criminal operation.
