Hamburg Court Halts Use of Seized Die Zeit Interview Recordings
The Hamburg Regional Court has issued a decision to temporarily refrain from evaluating interview recordings seized from a journalist at the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit”. The recordings involve interviews conducted with the children of entrepreneur Christina Block following their abduction from Denmark.
The seizure occurred on October 12 after the threat of searches at the newspaper's editorial offices and the journalist's residence. The journalist and the publisher filed a complaint against the seizure, and the court's decision to halt the evaluation was made following their request.
The existence of these recordings was brought to light by the podcast “Zeit Verbrechen: House of Block”. The case is part of an ongoing trial involving Christina Block and six other defendants regarding the abduction of her children. Block has denied authorizing an Israeli security firm to retrieve the children.
