Hamburg reports over 5,000 outstanding arrest warrants
The Hamburg Senate has revealed that 5,130 arrest warrants issued by the Hamburg police remain unexecuted as of October 13. These warrants involve 4,827 individuals, with the discrepancy due to single persons potentially having multiple warrants for different offenses.
According to official responses to inquiries from the AfD parliamentary group, many of the sought individuals cannot be located at their known addresses, their current whereabouts are unknown, or it is unclear if they remain in Germany. The individuals have not been apprehended during routine police control measures.
Demographic data shows that 4,456 individuals (approximately 92.3 percent) hold exclusively foreign citizenship, while 374 hold German passports and 51 hold dual citizenship. Other categories include 13 stateless persons and 108 cases where nationality is unclarified. The largest nationality groups among the wanted individuals are Turkish (466), Polish (317), Georgian (293), Romanian (243), and Afghan (234). The majority of those sought are men between the ages of 21 and 49.
