Hamburg researchers develop new habitats for Schleusengraben

Researchers have developed a new ecological construction for the Schleusengraben area in Hamburg. The innovation involves attaching specific structures to sheet pile walls designed to provide new habitats for local plants and animals.

Dr. Elisabeth Klocke, managing partner of the Stiftung Lebensraum Elbe, demonstrated the newly installed sheet pile quarters from a work pontoon in the Schleusengraben.
