Hamburg SPD hosts disaster management forum at City Hall

The SPD parliamentary group in Hamburg hosted a disaster management forum at the Hamburg City Hall on October 9, 2026. The event, titled ‘Well Prepared: How Does Disaster Protection Work?’, focused on facilitating direct dialogue between citizens and experts regarding extreme weather and unforeseen crises.

Using a table-rotation format, participants engaged with various specialists, including Annika Urbanski from the Interior Committee, Ulf Bettermann-Jennes from the Crisis Management and Civil Protection department, and Harald Burghart of the Hamburg Voluntary Fire Department. Technical expertise was also provided by Axel Möller of the THW (Technisches Hilfswerk).
