Hamburger Goldkehlchen perform farewell concert for 52,000 fans

The men's choir Hamburger Goldkehlchen performed their farewell concert at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, drawing a crowd of nearly 52,000 spectators. The event, which the group's founder Flemming Pinck described as a ‘once in a lifetime Ding’, featured pyrotechnics, celebrity guests, and various musical surprises.

The 103-member choir spent 14 months planning the production. In addition to their own hits such as ‘Moin Moin Hamburg’ and ‘Laut & Schief’, the group performed cover versions, including a rendition of the Backstreet Boys' ‘Everybody’. The concert included performances by Sportfreunde Stiller and Johannes Strate, following a warm-up by the Swedish a cappella group Dad Harmony.
