Hamburger SV advances transfer activity and squad planning

Hamburger SV (HSV) is actively finalizing its squad for the upcoming season through several key player movements and talent evaluations.

Defender Sebastiaan Bornauw is expected to sign a loan deal with Leeds United, which includes a purchase option valued at approximately 4.6 million euros. The 27-year-old Belgian is scheduled to undergo a medical examination at the Volksparkstadion to finalize the transfer.

In the attacking department, the club is pursuing Nigerian striker Terem Moffi. While Samsunspor was previously a favorite for his signature, the Turkish club faces registration limits regarding foreign players, potentially opening a path for HSV.

Additionally, coach Merlin Polzin is evaluating several youth talents following strong performances in recent test matches. Players such as Louis Lemke, Otto Stange, Jason Bissi-Mouelle, and Shafiq Nandja have demonstrated readiness to compete at the professional level.
