Hamburger SV faces injury crisis with Grønbæk and Moffi sidelined
Hamburger SV is facing significant squad challenges due to multiple player injuries. Top scorer Albert Grønbæk suffered a muscle fiber tear in his right thigh while playing for the Danish national team in Norway. He is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, marking his fourth muscle injury in nine months.
In addition to Grønbæk, striker Terem Moffi is dealing with knee issues involving fluid accumulation, making him unavailable for the upcoming match against FC Copenhagen. While winger Alexander Røssing-Lelesiit has returned to team training following a syndesmosis ligament tear, he remains far from match readiness.
On a positive note, defender Sebastiaan Bornauw has recovered from muscular problems and is expected to make his comeback in the test match against FC Copenhagen. His return is seen as crucial for the defense, as the club has failed to keep a clean sheet in 16 consecutive Bundesliga matches since February.
