Hamburger SV plans friendly against Hajduk Split for Vuskovic comeback

Hamburger SV is reportedly in discussions with Hajduk Split to organize a special friendly match during the November international break. The match is intended to facilitate the comeback of Croatian defender Mario Vuskovic, who is nearing the end of a four-year doping suspension.

Vuskovic, who was suspended for using the blood-doping agent EPO, will be eligible to play again starting November 15. While his first official Bundesliga match is scheduled for November 22 in the North Derby against Werder Bremen, the proposed friendly would allow him to gain match fitness earlier.

Hajduk Split, the club where Vuskovic began his professional career, has confirmed that talks are ongoing. It has not yet been determined whether the match will take place at the Volksparkstadion in Germany or at the Poljud stadium in Croatia.
