Hamburger SV players face squad competition

Hamburger SV players Immanuel Pherai and Miro Muheim are facing increased competition for playing time within the squad.

Immanuel Pherai has struggled to secure a spot in the first team for several months. Despite playing regularly for the Suriname national team, he has not appeared in a competitive match for HSV recently. To maintain match fitness, Pherai has voluntarily played for the club’s U21 side. His recent international period was marred by allegations of racism and unrest following a match between Suriname and Guatemala.

Swiss international Miro Muheim is also navigating a new competitive environment. After recovering from adductor issues and returning from the World Cup, Muheim finds himself fighting for his usual position on the left side. He faces competition from young talent Louis Lemke and Norwegian player David Møller Wolfe. Muheim stated he is embracing the challenge to reclaim his starting position.
