Hamidović family faces trial in Paris for organized crime

Seven members of the Hamidović family from Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled to appear before a criminal court in Paris starting September 15. The group faces multiple charges, including organized theft, money laundering, criminal association, and human trafficking.

Investigations, including reports cited by Le Monde, suggest that Roberto Hamidović and his sons led a network of at least 50 minors, aged 10 to 18, who operated as pickpockets in high-traffic areas such as Disneyland Paris, the Paris metro, and Roissy Airport. The group allegedly generated daily revenues of up to 25,000 euros.

Authorities describe the organization as a strictly structured patriarchal family unit where women and girls were reportedly coerced into criminal activity through threats and violence. Investigators claim the family amassed wealth totaling nearly two million euros, much of which was lived in extreme luxury in the Paris suburbs. Roberto Hamidović denies leading the criminal network, claiming to be a used car dealer.
