Hamilton, Brisbane: Luxury towers planned for former Olympic site

Luxury residential towers are planned for a six-hectare riverside site in Hamilton, Brisbane, a location previously designated for the 2032 Olympic athletes village. Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie announced the project, which involves the sale of underutilised state-owned land to five different developers.

The development is expected to feature 13 towers providing approximately 2,200 apartments, with the capacity to house up to 5,000 people. The project includes a variety of amenities such as a 15,000-square-metre shopping centre, a 50-bed hotel, childcare facilities, and medical services.

Five developers have been identified for the project: Red & Co, Joe Adsett Developments, and Graya will handle the riverfront towers, while Lancini and Greyburn will develop the inland sections. The Queensland state government intends to invest $154 million into road upgrades and site preparation, with construction work anticipated to begin in 2028.
