Hamilton Hill shooting: Police hunt for two gunmen in Perth
Police in Western Australia are conducting a manhunt for two suspected gunmen following a shooting in Hamilton Hill on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 4:35am near the intersection of Yongka Road and Karda Way.
A 37-year-old man was shot in the stomach during the attack. Detective Brian Connelly stated that the shooting is being treated as a targeted attack and that the victim and the gunmen were likely known to one another. He noted there is no ongoing threat to the public and found no evidence linking the incident to outlaw motorcycle gangs or tobacco-related conflicts.
CCTV footage released by the WA Police shows four men meeting in a cul-de-sac before individuals were seen fleeing into adjacent bushland. The serious and organised crime division is continuing its investigation to locate the suspects.
