Hamilton police investigate fatal stabbing of 21-year-old

A 21-year-old man has died following a fatal stabbing in Hamilton, Ontario. Police were called to the area of Main Street West and Frid Street around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday after a taxi driver discovered the victim with stab wounds and attempted to perform first aid.

Investigators believe the victim was involved in an altercation near Paradise Road North and King Street West, approximately one kilometer from where he was found. As of Sunday afternoon, no suspect or weapon has been identified. Police are reviewing surveillance and dash-camera footage from the area and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

This incident marks the ninth homicide in Hamilton in 2026, surpassing the total number of homicides reported in the city during 2025.
