HamKam defeats Rosenborg to exit Norwegian Cup

HamKam secured a 2–1 victory over Rosenborg at Lerkendal Stadium on Wednesday, resulting in Rosenborg's elimination from the Norwegian Football Cup third round.

Rosenborg took an early lead through Emil Cëide just before halftime. However, HamKam mounted a second-half comeback, with David Benjamin equalizing twenty minutes before the end. Icelandic veteran Vidar Ari Jónsson eventually scored the winning header for the visitors.

The loss ends a strong autumn run for Rosenborg manager Freyr Alexandersson, who had led the team to seven wins in their previous eight matches across all competitions. Despite Rosenborg's recent league success against HamKam, the defeat halts their cup campaign.
