Hammer Films announces survival horror ‘Ithaqua’

Hammer Film Productions has announced the survival horror film ‘Ithaqua’, marking the studio’s first in-house production under its new era. Directed by Casey Walker, the project is described as a twelve-year labor of love.

Set in the Canadian wilderness during the collapse of the fur trade, the story follows Cole Franklin, an American mercenary, as he investigates a silent Indigenous settlement. The plot involves an ancient, unnatural force that triggers paranoia, starvation, and violence within the community of Fort William.

The film features an ensemble cast including Luke Hemsworth, Kevin Durand, Craig Lauzon, Leenah Robinson, and Michael Pitt. ‘Ithaqua’ is scheduled to have its world premiere at FrightFest London on August 29, 2026, with a subsequent release in UK cinemas.
