Hampshire Air Festival cancelled as organizers enter liquidation

The Hampshire Air Festival 2026, scheduled to take place at Thruxton Aerodrome on September 12 and 13, has been cancelled just five days before its commencement. The event organizers, Montserrat Events & Festivals Limited, announced that the company is entering liquidation and that directors are currently seeking independent legal and insolvency advice.

The inaugural festival, themed ‘The Age of Flight’, was intended to feature a variety of aerial displays, including Great War-era aircraft, Spitfires, and modern fast jets, alongside family entertainment and pyrotechnic shows.

Thruxton Circuit, the venue provider, expressed disappointment regarding the short-notice cancellation and clarified that it was not the organizer of the event. Because the circuit has no involvement in the ticketing arrangements, it cannot assist with refunds. Organizers have advised ticket holders to contact their debit or credit card providers directly to discuss options for recovering payments.
