Hamster launches Arcade Archives' Combat School for Nintendo Switch 2 on Aug 6

Japanese publisher Hamster Corporation announced that the classic 1987 Konami arcade game Combat School will be added to its Arcade Archives series on 6 August. The title will be released digitally for the new Nintendo Switch 2 at $9.99 and for the original Switch at $7.99, with Japanese pricing of ¥838/¥837 for the first‑generation versions and ¥1,100 for the Switch 2/PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X|S releases.

Combat School recreates the original arcade experience, offering an Original Mode with adjustable difficulty, button remapping, rapid‑fire and rewind functions, as well as Hi‑Score, Caravan, and the new Time Attack mode. The game supports VRR for smoother playback and includes online leaderboards for global competition. The release marks the latest addition to Hamster’s effort to preserve classic arcade titles across modern consoles.
