Hamza Abdelkarim signs new Barcelona contract until 2030
FC Barcelona has officially extended the contract of 18-year-old Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim until June 30, 2030. The announcement was made at the club's headquarters in the presence of President Joan Laporta.
Abdelkarim, who joined the club on loan from Al Ahly in February before a permanent transfer this summer for €1.5 million, has seen his terms significantly improved. Notably, his release clause has been increased from €15 million to €150 million to protect his long-term future with the club.
Following a strong pre-season where he scored four goals, the striker has been included in Hansi Flick's first-team matchday squads. While he has made his official debut in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano, Abdelkarim expressed a willingness to play for the reserve team, Barcelona Atlétic, if it helps him gain the necessary minutes to develop and adapt to the club's style.
