Hamzah Zainudin defends political parties against corruption allegations

Hamzah Zainudin, president of Parti Wawasan Negara and deputy chairman of Perikatan Nasional (PN), has addressed recent corruption allegations, stating that corruption is committed by individuals rather than political parties. He argued that it is unfair to associate an entire party with the wrongdoing of a single member, noting that such perceptions should not hinder political cooperation, including the understanding between Barisan Nasional (BN) and PN.

Additionally, Hamzah outlined the ‘Reset agenda’ championed by Wawasan, which he describes as a movement to correct national planning in areas such as the economy, education, and public welfare. The agenda is built on three pillars: establishing a common goal for an advanced country, achieving shared prosperity through economic expansion that improves daily living standards, and implementing ‘compassionate governance’ to ensure a humane approach to social welfare.
