Hana Bank opens children's banking experience center at Korea Job World in Seongnam

Hana Bank inaugurated a children’s banking experience center at Korea Job World in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on Jan. 28. The opening ceremony was attended by Hana Bank CEO Lee Ho‑sung and Korea Job World director Lee Byung‑kyun.

The center replicates a real bank branch with a financial counseling desk, safe, ticket‑issuing machine, account‑book printer and mock currency. Children can alternate between bank‑staff and customer roles, filling out account‑opening forms, obtaining tickets, creating mock passbooks, and conducting simulated deposits and withdrawals. The activity uses the bank’s mascot characters “Star Dol” and “Star Song” for passbook decoration.

Adjacent to the experience area, Hana Bank operates a “Joy” office that issues and manages the mock currency and a subsidiary branch that offers genuine banking services such as account opening, savings and installment products, internet/mobile banking enrollment and check‑card issuance, along with youth‑focused financial‑education programs.
